Cal-bred Trio in Pasadena
ARCADIA, Calif. (Mar. 3, 2010) -- California-breds Straightomidnight, Runaway Bandido and High Success are entered in Saturday�s $60,000 Pasadena Stakes for 3-year-olds at one mile on the Santa Anita turf course.
Straightomidnight is by Spinelessjellyfish, out of the Chief�s Crown mare Cutsy, was bred by Willow Tree Farm, is owned by Lo-Bo Racing and Cyrus Tahmasebi and is trained by A.C. Avila. The Barretts graduate has two win in 11 starts, earnings of $40,928 and is coming off a fifth in a Jan. 27 optional claimer.
Runaway Bandido is from Runaway Groom, out of the Green Dancer mare Sceptre�s Own, was bred by Charlotte Wrather, is owned by Judi Partridge and trained by Rafael Becerra. The $15,000 Barretts purchase has one win in seven starts, earnings of $70,960 and is coming off a fourth in a Feb. 15 San Vicente.
High Success is by High Demand, out of the In Excess mare Excessful, was bred by Tom Nowlan and John Treasure, is owned by Eagle Ridge Racing and trained by Doug O�Neill. The $20,000 Barretts purchase has three wins and two seconds in five starts, earnings of $105,080 and has a three-race win streak.
