Redattore Duo Risk Win Streaks
ARCADIA, Calif. (Feb. 25, 2010) -- Compari and Red Sun, sons of Redattore, risk respective win streaks in a Sunday showdown in the $100,000 Crystal Water Handicap for California-breds at one mile on the Santa Anita turf course.
Live Sundays is by High Brite, out of the Rich Cream mare Thisisyourluckyday, was bred by Harris Farms, is owned by Hajji Farm and is trained by Charles Jenda. The Northern California Yearling Sale $5,000 purchase has five wins in 10 starts, earnings of $162,976 and is coming off a third in the Jan. 1 Sensational Star.
Liberian Freighter is by Bertrando, out of the Slewpy mare Anachristina, was bred by King Edward Racing, foaled at River Edge Farm, is owned by Shawn Dugan, the estate of Ed Nahem and Charles Winner and is trained by Neil Drysdale. He has six wins in 17 starts, earnings of $414,130 and is coming off a fourth in a Feb. 3 allowance.
Kalookan Storm is by Storm Boot, out of the With Approval mare Chautauqua, was bred by Betty Mabee and Larry Mabee, is owned by Kalookan Racing and trained by Armando Lage. The $6,500 Barretts purchase has six wins in 20 starts, earnings of $155,626 and is coming off a seventh in a Feb. 7 allowance.
