$125,000 Melair Stakes MILES RULES

INGLEWOOD, Calif. (Apr. 23, 2011) – Miles Rules barely had enough left to hold off the fast-closing Screaming Regal to win Saturday’s $125,000 Melair Stakes for 3-year-old fillies on the Gold Rush card at Hollywood Park.

Miles Rules is by Tribal Rule, out of the Bien Bien mare Fair Bianca, was bred by owner Halo Farms and is trained by Cliff Sise. She was ridden by Joel Rosario.

She has three wins in four starts, earnings of $145,200 and was coming off a win in a Mar. 17 allowance.

Miles Rules ran the 1 1/16 miles in 1:46.09 and won by a nose at odds of 2-1. Screaming Regal was second and Warren’s Flyer third.
