$150,000 Snow Chief Stakes NAHEM

INGLEWOOD, Calif. (Apr. 23, 2011) – Longshot Nahem, four wide around the turn and still fifth at the eighth pole, rallied to win Saturday’s $150,000 Snow Chief Stakes, the feature event on the Gold Rush card at Hollywood Park.

Nahem is by Bertrando, out of the Moscow Ballet mare Miss Bev Hills, was bred by owners Michael and Cory Wellman and Harris Farms and is trained by Patrick Gallagher. He was ridden by Victor Espinoza.

He has two wins in five starts, earnings of $149,400 and was coming off a second in a Mar. 13 optional claimer.

Woodmans Luck was second and Thirtyfirststreet was third.

Nahem ran the 1 1/8 miles in 1:52.20 and won by a head at odds of 12-1.
