INGLEWOOD, Calif. (Apr. 24, 2010) – Fun and Frolic lived up to his name, wrapping up Saturday’s Gold Rush XI card by winning the $60,000 NTRA Stakes for California-bred and California-sired maiden colts and geldings at Hollywood Park.
Fun and Frolic is a 3-year-old colt by Freespool, out of the Gilded Time mare Western Blondy, was bred by Special T Thoroughbreds and Paula Capestro, is owned and trained by Capestro and was ridden by David Flores.
He was fourth in his only other start and has earnings of $38,640. My Boy Walsh was second and Dana Dynamo was third. Fun and Frolic ran the 6 ½ furlongs in 1:17.03 and won by a length at odds of 5-1.
