$70,000 Grey Memo Stakes UNCLE DON

INGLEWOOD, Calif. (Apr. 24, 2010) – Uncle Don held off the late rally of Killer Bear to win the $70,000 Grey Memo Stakes for California-bred and California-sired on  Saturday’s Gold Rush XI card at Hollywood Park.

Uncle Don is Lemon Drop Kid, out of the Moscow Ballet mare Soviet Problem, was bred by Harris Farms, Donald Valpredo and Rob Johnson, is owned by Antonio Ocampo and Ulises Alan Olguin, is trained by Richard Rosales and was ridden by Joel Rosario.

He ran the seven furlongs in 1:22.59 and won by 1 ¾ lengths as the 2-1 favorite. Killer Bear was second and Scofield Barracks was third.
