$70,000 Warren’s Thoroughbred Stakes SPARKLING STYLE

INGLEWOOD, Calif. (Apr. 28, 2012) – Favored Sparkling Style scored her second win on a Gold Rush card by taking Saturday’s $70,000 Warren’s Thoroughbred Stakes for California-bred fillies and mares at Betfair Hollywood Park.

Sparkling Style is a 4-year-old by Badge of Silver, out of the A.P. Indy mare Decades of Style, was bred by Todd Sheehan and Donald Lindemann, is owned by Arnold Zetcher, trained by Bob Baffert and was ridden by Joe Talamo.

Sparkling Style, returning from an eight-month layoff, has two wins in four starts and earnings of $81,782. Her other win was last year’s Alphabet Kisses Maiden Stakes on the Gold Rush card. She is a half-sister to stakes winner Seattle Ruler.

She ran the seven furlongs in 1:23.71 and won by three lengths as the 2-1 favorite. Carrie Rose was second and River Kiss third.
