DEL MAR, Calif. (Aug. 12, 2016) – California stallion and two-time Horse of the Year Acclamation was represented by his first winner on Friday when Accountability won the eighth race, a maiden special weight for California-breds, at Del Mar.
Accountability is a colt out of the Bold Badgett mare Roberta’s Mango, was bred by Old English Rancho, is owned by Craig Martin and Paul Newhart and trained by Rafael Becerra.
Accountability ran the 5 ½ furlongs in 1:05.48 and won by one-half length at odds of 7-1 in the field of nine.
