Acclamation Improving from Injury

From DMTC Publicity DEL MAR, Calif. (Aug. 31, 2012) -- Trainer Don Warren reports that California-bred Acclamation is doing well and there have been preliminary discussions between Warren and owner Bud Johnston regarding a possible return to training for the 2011 Eclipse Award older male champion.

Acclamation was sidelined 11 days before a planned title defense in the Pacific Classic due to a strained ligament in the fetlock area of the left front hoof.

“He looks real good,” Warren said. “But it’s such a rare little injury, as long as we’ve been in the business we haven’t seen anything that lets us know how these things react. We’re trying to put our heads together and make the right decision.”
