Acclamation Three-peats in Whittingham

INGLEWOOD, Calif. (June 9, 2012) – California-bred Eclipse winner Acclamation returned from an eight-month layoff by scoring his third consecutive $250,000 Grade I Charles Whittingham Memorial Handicap victory Saturday at Betfair Hollywood Park.

Acclamation is by Unusual Heat, out of the Silveyville mare Winning in Style, was bred by Old English Rancho, is owned by Peter and Mary Hilvers and E.W. and Judy Johnston and trained by Donald Warren.

Acclamation has 10 wins in 29 starts, earnings of $1,778,048 and was making his first start since winning the Clement Hirsch Turf Championship Oct. 2, 2011.

He ran the 1 ¼ miles on turf in 2:01.50 and won by a length at odds of 4-5.
