LEXINGTON, Ky. (Sept. 16, 2015) — Nick Alexander was named California Breeder of the Year and Steve Coburn and Perry Martin were named the National Small Breeders of the Year by the Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association, which presented the awards at its annual banquet at Hill ‘n Dale Farms.
Coburn and Martin bred last year’s double classic-winning Horse of the Year, California Chrome.
Alexander, a long-time member of the California Thoroughbred Breeders Association, bred and owns the stakes winning Grazen Sky, who was sired by Alexander runner Grazen.
