Amazombie in Santa Anita Sprint

ARCADIA, Calif. (Oct. 3, 2012) – California-bred Eclipse winner Amazombie tunes up for the Breeders’ Cup in Saturday’s $250,000 Grade I Santa Anita Sprint Championship.

Amazombie is by Northern Afleet, out of the In Excess mare Wilshe Amaze, was bred by Gregg Anderson, is owned by trainer Bill Spawr and Thomas Sanford.

He has 12 wins in 27 starts, earnings of $1,905,378 and is coming off a win in the July 29 Bing Crosby. He won this race last year when it was called the Ancient Title.
