Avanti Bello Seeks Tiznow Repeat

ARCADIA, Calif. (Feb. 23, 2017) – Defending champion Avanti Bello is one of six stakes winners entered in Sunday’s $100,000 Tiznow Stakes for Golden State Series eligible at Santa Anita.
Indygo Holiday is by Indygo Shiner, out of the More Than Ready mare Pat Olcott, was bred by Melody Conlon, is owned by Bussjaeger or Jacobs and is trained by Sean McCarthy. He has two wins in 12 starts, earnings of $78,126 and is coming off a second in a Feb. 11 optional claimer.
Magic Mark is by Benchmark, out of the Deputy Governor mare Jewel Magic, was bred by owners Dorine & John Lanza and is trained by Ron Ellis. The multiple stakes winner had six wins in 19 starts, earnings of $357,969 and is coming off a fifth in the Nov. 20 Cary Grant. He was eighth in this race two years ago.
Patriots Rule is by Tribal Rule, out of the Seattle Bound mare Candy Factory, was bred by Dahlberg Farms, is owned by Charles Garvey and is trained by Robertino Diodoro. The multiple stakes winner has six wins in 24 starts, earnings of $429,920 and is coming off a fifth in the Jan. 28 California Cup Turf Classic.
Solid Wager is by Birdonthewire, out of the Valid Wager mare G Ma, was bred by Madera Thoroughbreds, is owned by Barber, Barber or Stanford Stables and is trained by Peter Miller. The graded stakes winner has eight wins in 32 starts, earnings of $472,921 and is coming off a fifth in the Donald Valpredo California Cup Sprint. He was third in this race two years ago.
