Bailouttheminister Takes Whiting

PLEASANTON, Calif. (July 4, 2012) – California-bred Bailouttheminister, last but close early, rallied in the stretch to win Wednesday’s $75,000 Sam J. Whiting Memorial Handicap at Pleasanton.

Bailouttheminister is by Ministers Wild Cat, out of the Smokester mare T.G.’s Girl, was bred by Larry Hanson and Harmony Farms, is owned by Theresa and Edward DeNike and trained by Keith Nations.

He has six wins in 16 starts, earnings of $212,434 and was coming off a second in a June 9 allowance.

Bailouttheminister ran the six furlongs in 1:09.06 and won by one-half length as the 7-5 favorite. Fellow Cal-breds Ain’t No Other and Shudacudawudya finished second and third.
