From Barretts
DEL MAR, Calif. (July 27, 2016) — Dan Dayton, stable manager at Barretts for more than 25 years, passed away July 19 unexpectedly near his home in Oregon.
Dan was stable manager at Barretts since its inception in 1989 and was the only stable manager while we were located in Pomona. He performed the same function for both Barretts racing and training for several years as well.
Dan was a loyal and dependable employee who was known to do anything possible to keep both Barretts consignors and his dogs happy. Most importantly, he was known as a loving husband to his wife Jackie, a caring father and a devoted son.
