DEL MAR, Calif. (Sept. 25, 2015) — The catalog for Barretts October Sale is now on-line and will be mailed soon. This auction of 270 head will be held on Tuesday, October 27 starting at 11:00 a.m. on the grounds of the Del Mar Racetrack in Del Mar, California. The catalog can be viewed now here.
There are 210 yearlings cataloged in this sale by such stallions spanning the alphabet as: Acclamation, Artie Schiller, Bullet Train, Coil, Creative Cause, Decarchy, Desert Code, Dixie Chatter, Dominus, Empire Way, Eskendereya, First Defence, Friesan Fire, Good Journey, Hansen, Harbor the Gold, Hold Me Back, Into Mischief, Kafwain, Lucky Pulpit, Marino Marini, Midnight Lute, Ministers Wild Cat, Notional, Old Topper, Paddy O’Prado, Pioneerof the Nile, Regal Ransom, Roi Charmant, Slew’s Tiznow, Square Eddie, Stormin Fever, Street Boss, Surf Cat, Tapizar, Thorn Song, Tizbud, Tizway, Tiz Wonderful, Tribal Rule, Unusual Heat, U S Ranger, Vronsky, War Chant, Warriors Reward and Wildcat Heir.
This sale will also feature 53 head from The Complete Dispersal of The Estate of Ellwood Johnston & Berumen. Havens Bloodstock will the selling agent for this consignment which contains 15 yearlings, 9 two-year-olds, 11 horses of racing age and 18 broodmare/broodmare prospects. Six yearlings are by and five mares are in foal to Old English Rancho’s magnificent Eclipse Award winning Acclamation, and several are closely related to their home-bred Poshsky, who is entered in this Sunday’s $200,000 City of Hope Mile S. (G2) at Santa Anita.
