DEL MAR, Calif. (July 14, 2016) — The catalog for the Fifth Annual Paddock Sale at Del Mar of Race Ready Horses, scheduled to be held on Saturday, July 23 in the Del Mar paddock approximately 30 minutes after the last race is declared official, is now on-line. This catalog currently consists of 8 horses of racing age and 10 two-year-olds. Additional horses are expected to be entered prior to sale time. Information including pedigree, complete past performances and a recent race video, if applicable, for each horse can be found in sortable format here.
For the first time, there will be a training preview for horses in the Paddock Sale catalog on Friday, July 22. This preview will start immediately after regular morning workouts end at 10 a.m. and will be held in the manner of morning workouts. All horses who work must work at least 3/8ths of a mile. Printed catalogs will be available ONLY at Del Mar by early next week.

Among the horses in the sales catalog are top two-year-old CALIFORNIA DIAMOND, who recently won the Listed Santa Anita Juvenile Stakes in stakes record time, as well as PATRIOTIC DIAMOND, a top two-year filly of last year who also was a stakes winner last summer at Del Mar. There are additional horses who are expected to start prior to the sale.
Also in the sale is CROSSCHECK CARLOS (pedigree), who remained undefeated when he shipped to Evangeline Downs and showed his class by winning the $100,000 D.S. Shine Young Futurity in his second start in very game fashion (race replay) on an unexpected sloppy track last Saturday night.

Horses will be available for inspection starting on Wednesday, July 20 in the Horse Show Arena located on the clubhouse turn between Barn W and the Surfside Race Place ITW building.
