Big Macher, Gold Rush Dancer Return

ARCADIA, Calif. (June 9, 2017) – Grade I winner Big Macher and multiple stakes winner Gold Rush Dancer make their first starts in more than six months in Sunday’s $100,000 Thor’s Echo Handicap for Golden State Series eligible at Santa Anita.

Gold Rush Dancer is by Private Gold, out of the In Excess mare Dances On Water, was bred by owner John Parker and is trained by Vann Belvoir. He has five wins in 15 starts, earnings of $386,613 and is making his first start since a fourth in the Nov. 20 Cary Grant.

He Will is by Cyclotron, out of the Lear Fan mare Could She, was bred by Old English Rancho and Berumen, is owned by Hollendorfer, Team Green or Randall, et al and is trained by Jerry Hollendorfer. He has five wins in 18 starts, earnings of $206,774 and is making his first start since a fourth in a Feb. 20 optional claimer.

K Thirty Eight is by Surf Cat, out of the Corwyn Bay mare Butterfly Kiss, was bred by Old English Rancho and Headley, is owned by The Ellwood Johnston Trust or Matson Racing and is trained by Karen Headley. He has five wins in 21 starts, earnings of $251,335 and is coming off a May 11 claiming win.

Big Macher is by Beau Genius, out of the Kris S. mare Insight, was bred by Ballena Vista Farm, is owned by Tachycardia Stables or Mansor and is trained by Richard Baltas. He has seven wins in 19 starts, earnings of $684,288 and is making his first start since a seventh in the Nov. 20 Cary Grant.

Got Even is by Stephen Got Even, out of the Blare of Trumpets mare Kathryns Birthday, was bred by Madera Thoroughbreds, is owned by Sinnott Family Trust and trained by Peter Miller.
