LEXINGTON, Ky. (Apr. 7, 2017) – Big Score, a Kentucky-bred son of California stallion Mr. Big, won Friday’s $150,000 Grade III Transylvania Stakes presented by Keeneland Select, at Keeneland.
Big Score, out of the Unusual Heat mare Not Unusual, ran the 1 1/16 miles in 1:43.23 and won by one-half length at odds of 10-1.
He has three wins in five starts, earnings of $237,800 and was making his first start since a fifth in the Nov. 4 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf.
