SAN DIEGO, Calif. (Sept. 6, 2017) — Big Surf offspring finished the 2017 summer race season winning five races since May at distances from 5 furlongs on the dirt, to 1 mile 70 yards on dirt and all-weather tracks.
Over the Labor day weekend, Baku Dance won at the mile by 1 3/4 lengths. Other Big Surf summer mile winners also include: Strox, a three time winner at 1 1/16 mile on the dirt, 1 mile 70 yards on the dirt, and a 4 length winner at a mile on an all-weather track; and, Mansoor, a winner at 1 mile 70 yards on a good dirt track. On August 30, 2017, Aypara (AZE) sprinted to a 2 length win at 5 furlongs in the dirt. Big Surf is a Cal Bred stallion standing in Southern California.
