WILMINGTON, Del. (July 16, 2016) – Longshot California-bred Bodhisattva displayed a sustained rally to win Saturday’s $50,000 Carl Hanford Memorial Stakes at Delaware Park.
Bodhisattva is by Student Council, out of the Talk Is Money mare Dr. Cheryl P., was bred by Andy Stronach and is owned by trainer Jose Corrales.
He has five wins in 20 starts, earnings of $237,883 and was coming off a win in a June 19 optional claimer.
He ran the 1 1/16 miles in 1:44.20 and won by 1 ¼ lengths at odds of 11-1.
