HALLANDALE BEACH, Fla. (Aug. 13, 2017) – Bonita, a Florida-bred daughter of California stallion Bluegrass Cat, won Sunday’s $50,000 Panama City Handicap for fillies and mares at Gulfstream Park.
Bonita ran the mile on turf in 1:36.26 and won by three-quarters of a length at odds of 9-1 in the field of eight.
She has four wins in 15 starts, earnings of $127,465 and was coming off a sixth in the May 27 Christmas Past Stakes.
