Brushburn in John Henry

ARCADIA, Calif. (Sept. 27, 2012) – Brushburn is the lone California-bred entered in Sunday’s $150,000 Grade II John Henry Turf Championship Stakes at Santa Anita.

Brushburn is by Unusual Heat, out of the Afternoon Deelites mare Little Hottie, was bred by Madeline Auerbach, David Abrams and Sonny Pais, is owned by Albert and Kathleen Mattivi and trained by Steve Knapp.

He has six wins in 17 starts, earnings of $268,610 and is coming off an eighth in the Sept. 25 Del Mar Handicap.
