ARCADIA, Calif. (Oct. 25, 2017) – California-bred stakes winners El Huerfano and Avanti Bello are entered in Saturday’s $70,000 Comma to the Top Stakes at Santa Anita.
El Huerfano is by Tannersmyman, out of the Capsized mare Adriftinthebay, was bred by M.A. Douzas, is owned by Barber or Wachtel Stable and is trained by Peter Miller. He has five wins in 29 starts, earnings of $318,791 and is coming off a third in the Sept. 9 E.B. Johnston.
Avanti Bello is by Include, out of the Mizzen Mast mare Masterful Lass, was bred by Lou Neve, is owned by Suarez, Keh or Richardson and is trained by Doug O’Neill. He has seven wins in 28 starts, earnings of $491,399 and is coming off a Sept. 24 optional claiming win.
