Cal-bred Pair in Free Spirit

RUIDOSO, N.M. (May 29, 2012) – California-breds Happy Toes and Jim’s No Preacher are entered in Saturday’s $50,000 Free Spirit Handicap at Ruidoso Downs.

Happy Toes is by Ministers Wild Cat, out of the Green Dancer mare Up On Her Toes, was bred by Tommy Town Thoroughbreds, is owned by Donald Elkins and trained by Ike Green. He has five wins in 16 starts, earnings of $65,315 and is coming off a win in a May 4 starter’s allowance.

Jim’s No Preacher is by Ministers Wild Cat, out of the In Excess mare Excessive Angi, was bred by Jim Robinson and Robert Bone, is owned by J. Kirk and Judy Robison and trained by Henry Rodriguez. He has four wins in 11 starts, earnings of $119,590 and is coming off a an eighth in the Apr. 20 Inaugural Handicap.
