HOBBS, N.M. (Sept. 4, 2017) – California-breds Real Heat and Surf N Ski are entered in Monday’s $50,000 Premier Cup and Zia Park.
Real Heat is by Unusual Heat, out of the Ole mare Chi Chi Nette, was bred by Madeline Auerbach and Barry Abrams, is owned by A and A Equine and is trained by Justin Evans. He has six wins in 43 starts, earnings of $239,289 and is coming off a second in an Aug. 26 optional claimer.
Surf N Ski is by Unbridled Native, out of the Manila mare Oceans N Mountains, was bred by Old English Rancho, patsy and Sal Berumen, is owned by Eli Diamont and is trained by Dick Cappellucci. He has 14 wins in 34 starts, earnings of $249,580 and is making his first start since an Apr. 9 allowance win.
