Cal-bred Pair in Pike Place Dancer

ALBANY, Calif. (Oct. 25, 2012) – California-breds Peppery and Hot and Pleasing are entered in Saturday’s $100,000 Pike Place Dancer Stakes for 2-year-old fillies at Golden Gate.

Peppery is by Peppered Cat, out of the Tychonic mare Prochonic, was bred by owner and trainer Alex Paszkeicz. She is a maiden making her second start with earnings of $260 coming off a seventh in an Aug. 26 debut.

Hot and Pleasing is by Unusual Heat, out of the Falstaff mare Pleasing, was bred by David Newcomb, is owned by Deron Pearson and trained by James Cassidy. The $110,000 Barretts purchase is a maiden making her third start with earnings of $4,550 and is coming off a seventh in an Oct. 13 maiden race.
