Cal-bred Quartet in Nevin

PLEASANTON, Calif. (July 2, 2015) – A quartet of California-breds, including Northern California Yearling Sale graduate Silver Flash, is among the entries in Sunday’s $50,000 Everitt Nevin Stakes for 2-year-olds at Oak Tree at Pleasanton.

Smoked too Many is by Many Rivers, out of the Smokester mare Smoked Glass, was bred by Ellen Jackson, is owned by Victory Rose Thoroughbreds and trained by Jackson. He won his lone start with earnings of $15,600.

Smokey Image is by Southern Image, out of the Free House mare Special Smoke, was bred by C Punch Ranch, is owned by Betty and Robert Irvin and is trained by Greg James. He won his lone start with earnings of $19,500.

Silver Flash is by Don’tsellmeshort, out of the Wekiva Springs mare Flying Heart, was bred by Running Luck Ranch, is owned by Mary Jo Bright and trained by Wendell McDaniel. He won his lone start with earnings of $9,000. He was a $1,800 purchase at last year’s Northern California Yearling Sale.

Quorum of Joy is by Square Eddie, out of the General Meeting mare Joyful Meeting, was bred by owner Reddam Racing and is trained by Edward Freeman. He won his lone start with earnings of $33,600.
