ARCADIA, Calif. (Oct. 25, 2012) – California-breds Red Sun, Bud I Crushed It and Brushburn are entered in Sunday’s $65,000 Lure Stakes at Santa Anita.
Red Sun is by Redattore, out of the Affirmed mare Sunny Sara, was bred by owner Harris Farms and trained by Carla Gaines. He has five wins in 10 starts, earnings of $227,988 and is coming off a ninth in the Sept. 28 Eddie D Stakes.
Bud I Crushed It is by Momentum, out of the Jade Hunter mare Sarah Jade, was bred by J. Paul Reddam, is owned by Vicente Padilla and trained by Victor Fernandez. He has five wins in 36 starts, earnings of $156,276 and is coming off back-to-back optional claiming wins.
Brushburn is by Unusual Heat, out of the Afternoon Deelites mare Little Hottie, was bred by Madeline Auerbach, David Abrams and Sonny Pais, is owned by Albert and Kathleen Mattivi and trained by Steve Knapp. He has six wins in 18 starts, earnings of $268,610 and is coming off a ninth in the Sept. 30 John Henry Turf Championship.
