SANTA ROSA, Calif. (July 26, 2012) – California-breds Going for a Spin, Bleach Blonde and Sweetly Peppered are entered in Sunday’s $50,000 Luther Burbank Handicap for fillies and mares at Santa Rosa.
Going for a Spin is by Ministers Wild Cat, out of the Mr. Greeley mare Gender Motors, was bred by Tommy Town Thoroughbreds, is owned by Little Red Feather Racing and La Vida Loca Racing Stable and is trained by Mike Mitchell. She has four wins in 21 starts, earnings of $210,102 and is coming off a second in a May 24 claimer.
Bleach Blonde is by Marino Marini, out of the Beau Genius mare Pundit, was bred by owner Brett Mason and is trained by Lloyd Mason. She has six wins in 33 starts, earnings of $249,820 and is coming off a fifth in a June 10 optional claimer. She was second in this race last year.
Sweetly Peppered is by Peppered Cat, out of the Allawinir mare Sweet Bimbo, was bred by owner and trainer Alex Pasckeicz. She has six wins in 24 starts, earnings of $194,725 and is coming off a fifth in the Apr. 7 American Beauty Stakes.
