POMONA, Calif. (Sept. 11, 2012) – California-breds Awesome Annie, Swiss Bliss and O Happy Gray are entered in Friday’s $50,000 Phil D. Shepherd Stakes for 2-year-old fillies at Fairplex Park.
Awesome Annie is by Awesome Gambler, out of the Mane Minister mare Cars and Cigars, was bred by Terry Lovingier, is owned by London, Winters, Templeton Horses and Lovingier and trained by Walther Solis. She has one win in six starts, earnings of $92,390 and is coming off a sixth in the Aug. 29 Generous Portion.
Swiss Bliss is by Swiss Yodeler, out of the Doneraille Court mare Donerella, was bred by owner Heinz Steinmann and is trained by Patricia Harrington. She is coming off a maiden win Aug. 31 in her fifth start with earnings of $29,590.
O Happy Gray is by Cee’s Tizzy, out of the Swiss Yodeler mare I Can Yodele, was bred by Heinz Steinmann, is owned by Heinz, Michelle and Michelle Steinmann and trained by Mike Harrington. She has one win in five starts, earnings of $53,960 and is coming off a ninth in the Aug. 29 Generous Portion.
