Cal-bred Trio in Unzip Me

ARCADIA, Calif. (Sept. 26, 2012) – California-breds Best Present Ever, Starry Skies and Madoffwiththemoney are entered in Saturday’s $70,000 Unzip Me Stakes for 3-year-old fillies at Santa Anita.

Madoffwiththemoney is by Tribal Rule, out of the Bold Ruckus mare Courageously, was bred by George Chakmakian and Frank Aldrich, is owned by For the Boys Stable, Frank and MarySue Aldrich and is trained by Steven Miyadi. She has three wins in five starts, earnings of $84,304 and is coming off a Sept. 9 allowance win.

Best Present Ever is by Unusual Heat, out of the Beau Genius mare Centerofattention, was bred by owners Dennis and Norine Grenier and is trained by J. Eric Kruljac. She has three wins in eight starts, earnings of $185,800 and is coming off a ninth in the Aug. 18 Del Mar Oaks.

Starry Skies is an also-eligible by Sky Mesa, out of the Saint Ballado mare Cosmah Star, was bred by Harris Farms and Donald and Michael Valpredo, is owned by Harris Farms, Per Antonsen and Donald and Michael Valpredo and is trained by Marty Jones. She has two wins in five starts, earnings of $144,900 and is coming off a third in a Sept. 1 optional claimer.
