CYPRESS, Calif. (Sept. 15, 2016) – Stakes winner California Diamond and fellow California-bred Dutt Bart are entered in Sunday’s $100,000 Barretts Juvenile for 2-year-olds at Los Alamitos.
Dutt Bart is by Empire Way, out of the Essence of Dubai mare Applaud Dubai, was bred by Terry Lovingier, is owned by Chou, Lovingier or Deweese and is trained by Mike Harrington. He has one win in three starts, earnings of $45,325 and is coming off a second in an Aug. 19 optional claimer.
California Diamond is by Harbor the Gold, out of the Slewdledo mare Carrie’s a Jewel, was bred by Stormy Hull, is owned by Rockingham Ranch and is trained by Peter Miller. He has two wins in four starts, earnings of $156,100 and is coming off a second in the Sept. 2 I’m Smokin. He won the Santa Anita Juvenile Stakes in July.
