California Stallions Get First Winners

CYPRESS, Calif. (Sept. 23, 2017) – California stallions Uh Oh Bango and Gig Harbor were represented by their first winners on Saturday.

Uh Oh Baby, a colt by Uh Oh Bango, won Saturday’s first race at Los Alamitos, a maiden special weight for California-bred 2-year-olds. He is out of the Five Star Day mare Eight Daughters, was bred by NP Thoroughbreds, is owned by PH Thoroughbred Racing and is trained by Craig Dollase. The colt ran the 5 ½ furlongs in 1:04.18 and won by 1 ¾ lengths as the 3-2 favorite. Uh Oh Bango currently ranks fifth on the California First-Crop Sire list.

Perfect for Me, a filly by Gig Harbor, won Saturday’s seventh race at Oak Tree at Pleasanton, a maiden special weight for 2-year-old fillies. She is out of the Royal Academy mare Noe Valley, was bred by Christy Wiebe & Dennis Patterson, is owned by Patterson and trained by Steven Specht. She ran the 5 ½ furlongs in 1:06.35 and won by one length at odds of 5-1.
