Central Heat in Miss America

ALBANY, Calif. (Dec. 8, 2017) – California-breds Fiery Lady and Central Heat are entered in Sunday’s $50,000 Miss America Stakes for fillies and mares at Golden Gate.

Fiery Lady is by Unusual Heat, out of the Ride the Rails mare Lady Railrider, was bred by owners Mr. and Mrs. Larry Williams and is trained by Steve Specht. She has three wins in eight starts, earnings of $79,570 and is coming off a third in a Nov. 17 optional claimer.

Central Heat is by Unusual Heat, out of the Smart Strike mare Miss Boomtown, was bred by Abrams, Huston Racing, Matties Racing and Auerbach, is owned by William Delia or Dana Rocheford and is trained by Delia. She has 18 wins in 42 starts, earnings of $454,477and is coming off a fifth in a Nov. 18 optional claimer. She was second in this race in 2014.
