Runaway Winner Enola Gray in Melair

ARCADIA, Calif. (May 25, 2016) – Enola Gray, a 16 1/2-length winner of her only race to date, faces Campanile Stakes winner Cheekaboo in Saturday’s $200,000 Melair Stakes for Golden State Series eligible 3-year-old fillies at Santa Anita.

Enola Gray is by Grazen, out of the More Than Ready mare Unsung Heroine, was bred by owner Nick Alexander and is trained by Phil D’Amato. She won her lone start Apr. 10 with earnings of $33,600.

Allsquare is by Square Eddie, out of the Decarchy mare Showtime Apollo, was bred by Phil D’Amato, is owned by D’Amato or Little Red Feather Racing and is trained by D’Amato. She has one win in six starts, earnings of $58,715 and is coming off a seventh in the May 1 Campanile.

Cheekaboo is by Unusual Heat, out of the Souvenir Copy mare Sandy Cheeks, was bred by Madeline Auerbach, Richard Rosenberg & Barry Abrams, is owned by Alesia, Burns or Ciaglia Racing and is trained by Peter Eurton. She has two wins in six starts, earnings of $137,680 and is coming off a win in the May 1 Campanile.
