Compari Wins Sensational Star Again!

ARCADIA, Calif. (Jan. 28, 2012) – With likely favorite Caracortado scratched, graded stakes winner Compari captured Saturday’s $100,000 Sensational Star Stakes for California-breds at Santa Anita.

Compari is by Redattore, out of the Dixieland Band mare Southern Charm, was bred by owners Harris Farms, John Nicoletti and Don Valpredo and is trained by Marty Jones.

He has eight wins in 14 starts, earnings of $570,430 and was coming off a win in a Jan. 5 optional claimer. Compari also won this race in 2010. My Summer Slew was second and Red Defense third in the field of five.
