Contessa’s Moment Wins Sorority

ALTOONA, Iowa (Aug. 5, 2012) – Maiden Contessa’s Moment, an Iowa-bred daughter of California stallion Kafwain, won Saturday’s $87,266 Iowa Sorority Stakes for 2-year-old Iowa-bred fillies at Prairie Meadows.

Contessa’s Moment ran the six furlongs in 1:12.24 and won by 2 ½ lengths. It was her first win in three starts, with earnings of $56,599.
