Entries for Gold Rush Wednesday

INGLEWOOD, Calif. (Apr. 18, 2010) -- Entries will be taken Wednesday for California Gold Rush XI, an eight-stakes event exclusively for California-breds and Cal-Sireds to be held Saturday, Apr. 24, at Hollywood Park.

Graded stakes winner Caracortado and Alphie’s Bet are being aimed at the $200,000 Snow Chief Stakes for 3-year-olds, the feature event on the card.

The Races:

The $200,000 Snow Chief Stakes, for 3-year-olds, at 1 1/8 miles.
The $150,000 Melair Stakes for 3-year-old fillies, at 1 1/16 miles.
The $125,000 B. Thoughtful Stakes, for fillies and mares 4 & up, at 7 ½ furlongs.
The $125,000 Tiznow Stakes, for 4-year-olds and up, at 7 ½ furlongs.
The $70,000 Grey Memo Stakes, for 3-year-olds and up (non-winners once), at seven furlongs.
The $70,000 Warren’s Thoroughbred Stakes, for fillies and mares 3-year-olds and up (non-winners once), at seven furlongs.
The $60,000 NTRA Stakes, for 3-year-olds and up maiden colts and geldings, at 6 ½ furlongs.
The $60,000 Alphabet Kisses Stakes, for 3-year-olds and up maiden fillies and mares, at 6 ½ furlongs.
