Forest Chatter in Lennyfrommalibu

ARCADIA, Calif. (May 25, 2016) – Forest Chatter, a stakes winner on the downhill course, is one of five entries in Saturday’s $100,000 Lennyfrommalibu Stakes for Golden State Series eligibles at Santa Anita.

Forest Chatter is a Kentucky-bred by California stallion Dixie Chatter, out of the Forest Wildcat mare Wild Forest, was bred by Herman Sarkowsky, is owned by Pam and Marty Wygod and trained by Richard Mandella. He has five wins in 12 starts, earnings of $248,510 and is coming off a third in the Feb. 27 Sensational Star.

Pay the Fine is by Square Eddie, out of the Wild Rush mare Heckuva Rush, was bred by owner Reddam Racing and is trained by Doug O’Neill. He has three wins in 13 starts, earnings of $168,515 and is coming off a second in an Apr. 22 optional claimer.

Ambitious Brew is by Tizbud, out of the Forest Wildcat mare Kathwen, was bred by owner Pamela Ziebarth and is trained by Martin Jones. He has five wins in 15 starts, earnings of $338,380 and is making his first start since a sixth in the Oct. 12 California Flag.

Old Man Lake is by Salt Lake, out of the Woodman mare Royal Woodman, was bred by Mr. & Mrs. Larry Williams, is owned by Martin or Newhart and is trained by Rafael Becerra. He has six wins in 34 starts, earnings of $222,642 and is coming off a third in a May 12 optional claimer.

K Thirty Eight is by Surf Cat, out of the Corwyn Bay mare Butterfly Kiss, was bred by Old English Rancho & Headley, is owned by the Ellwood Johnston Trust or Matson Racing and is trained by Karen Headley. He has three wins in 14 starts, earnings of $168,484 and is coming off a fourth in an Apr. 9 optional claimer.
