Gervinho Enters In Juvenile Turf

ARCADIA, Calif. (Oct. 29, 2012) Unbeaten California-bred Gervinho drew post position No. 4 in a full 14-horse field for Saturday’s $1 million Grade I Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf for 2-year-olds at one mile on the Santa Anita turf course.

Gervinho is by Unusual Heat, out of the Out of Place mare Foreverinthegame, was bred by Barry Abrams and Madeline Auerbach, is owned by Keith Brackpool, trained by Carla Gaines and will be ridden by Rafael Bejarano.

He has won both career starts with earnings of $102,000 and is coming off a win in the Oct. 8 Zuma Beach Stakes.

The race is scheduled to be run at 11:50 a.m. (PT).
