Harlington’s Rose Goes in Las Flores

ARCADIA, Calif. (Mar. 5, 2015) – Stakes winner Harlington’s Rose is one of four California-breds among the entries in Sunday’s $100,000 Grade III Las Flores Stakes for fillies and mares at Santa Anita.

Harlington’s Rose is by Harlington, out of the Orientate mare A Rose for You, was bred by Y-Lo Racing Stables, is owned by Halasz, Johnson, Newhart, Miller, et al and is trained by Steve Knapp. She has three wins in 20 starts, earnings of $311,040 and is coming off a third in a Feb. 12 optional claimer.

Sagebrush Queen is by Unbridled Energy, out of the Tough Knight mare Nite Moon, was bred by Oak Hill Farm, is owned by Larry Konecne and Sandi Mattei and is trained by Jorge Gutierrez. She has four wins in 10 starts, earnings of $213,770 and is making her first start since a third in the July 12 Great Lady M.

Global Hottie is by Dixie Chatter, out of the Desert God mare Sonora Desert, was bred by Baseline Equine, is owned by Watson, Pegram and Weitman and is trained by Bob Baffert. She has four wins in six starts, earnings of $156,490 and is coming off a Jan. 18 optional claimer win.

Meinertzhageni is by Stormin Fever, out of the Peaks and Valleys mare Hot Desert, was bred by Robert Harmon, is owned by Rockingham Ranch and trained by Peter Miller. She has four wins in 14 starts, earnings of $238,778 and is coming off a Feb. 21 optional claiming win.
