Intimidate Enters California Derby

ALBANY, Calif. (Jan. 15, 2018) – Stakes winner Intimidate and fellow California-breds Generally Lucky, Campaigner and Ministersdontparty are entered in Saturday’s $100,000 California Derby for 3-year-olds at Golden Gate.

Intimidate is by Vronsky, out of the Perfect Mandate mare Perfect Hostess, was bred by Donald Muldoon, is owned by James Eaton, Maria Hess or Muldoon and is trained by Robert Hess, Sr. He has three wins in four starts, earnings of $99,640 and is coming off a win in the Dec. 16 King Glorious.

Generally Lucky is by Lucky Pulpit, out of the General Meeting mare Gn. Group Meeting, was bred by owners Mr. and Mrs. Larry Williams and is trained by Steve Specht. He has three wins in 10 starts, earnings of $59,290 and is coming off a third in a Jan. 1 optional claimer.

Campaigner is by Minsters Wild Cat, out of the Good Journey mare Brave Journey, was bred by owner Larry Stein and is trained by Steve Miyadi. He has one win in six starts, earnings of $67,800 and is coming off a third in the Dec. 16 King Glorious.

Ministersdontparty is by Ministers Wild Cat, out of the Street Cry mare Street Party, was bred by owner Tommy Town Thoroughbreds and is trained by Steve Miyadi. He has one win in three starts, earnings of $42,000 and is coming off a sixth in the Nov. 4 Golden State Juvenile.
