NEW ORLEANS, La. (Dec. 31, 2016) – Kathballu, a Kentucky-bred daughter of California stallion Bluegrass Cat, won Saturday’s $50,000 Pan Zareta Stakes for fillies and mares at Fair Grounds.
She ran the six furlongs in 1:10.72 and won by 3 ½ lengths as the 4-5 favorite in the field of five.
Kathballu has six wins in 22 starts and earnings of $327,864. She was coming off a win in the Nov. 19 Orleans Stakes.
