INGLEWOOD, Calif. (Apr. 21, 2010) – Saturday’s $150,000 Melair Stakes for 3-year-old California-bred or California-sired fillies on the Gold Rush card at Hollywood Park.

Salty Fries is by In Excess, out of the Salt Lake mare Salty Steph, was bred by owner Legacy Ranch and trained by Terry Knight. She has three wins in eight starts, earnings of $89,122 and is making her first start since a fourth in the Dec. 27 California Breeders Champion Stakes.

La Nez is by Storm Creek, out of the Iz a Saros mare Iza Bay, was bred by J. Chance Kruljac, is owned by A and R Racing Stables, Class Racing Stable, Nezi Simmons and Eric Kruljac and trained by Eric Kruljac.
