Sunshine Millions Noms Due Dec. 17

ARCADIA, Calif. (Dec. 7, 2009) -- Early-bird nominations for the $1.8 million Sunshine Millions are due Thursday, Dec. 17.

The Sunshine Millions is a six-race, bi-coastal event to be held Saturday, Jan. 30, 2010, at Santa Anita Park and Gulfstream Park. The races are restricted to registered California-breds and Florida-breds. Early-bird nominations are $100 per entry.

The following races will be run at Santa Anita: $500,000 Sunshine Millions Classic, 1 1/8 miles, 4 & up; $300,000 Sunshine Millions Filly & Mare Turf, 1 1/8 miles (Turf), fillies and mares, 4 & up; $200,000 Sunshine Millions Filly & Mare Sprint, six furlongs, fillies and mares, 4 & up.

The following races will be run at Gulfstream Park: $300,000 Sunshine Millions Turf, 1 1/8 miles (Turf), 4 & up; $300,000 Sunshine Millions Distaff, 1 1/8 miles, fillies and mares, 4 & up; $200,000 Sunshine Millions Sprint, six furlongs, 4 & up;
