Long Hot Summer Sells for $260,000

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Jan. 9, 2018) – Multiple stakes-winning California-bred Long Hot Summer sold at Tuesday’s session of the Keeneland January Sale for $260,000.

The 6-year-old daughter of Street Boss, out of the Stormy Atlantic mare Hotlantic, was bred by Harris Farms and Donald Valpredo and is a half-sister to stakes winner Pacific Heat.

Shadai Farm was the listed buyer for Long Hot Summer, who sold as a racing or broodmare prospect, consigned by Ashview Farm. She was owned by Anthony Fanticola and Joseph Scardino, who bought her out of Barretts 2014 2-year-old Sale for $260,000. She has six wins and earnings of $424,539.
