CYPRESS, Calif. (July 2, 2015) – Longshot Magic Mark scored a game win in Thursday’s $110,800 Bertrando Stakes for Golden State Series eligibles at Los Alamitos.
Magic Mark is by Benchmark, out of the Deputy Governor mare Jewel Magic, was bred by owners Dorine and John Lanza and trained by Ron Ellis.
He has five wins in 14 starts and earnings of $258,734. He ran the mile in 1:35.50 and won by 1 ¼ lengths at odds of 11-1. Ambitious Brew was second, Old Man Lake third and favorite Alert Bay fourth in the field of nine.
