Lost Caper Finds New Career

ARCADIA, Calif. (May 15, 2017) — California-bred Lost Caper received the California-bred Performance Award sponsored by the California Thoroughbred Breeders Association. The Jockey Club Thoroughbred Incentive Program (TIP) announced a plethora of 2016 performance awards, designed to encourage the retraining of Thoroughbreds for other disciplines after racing.

Kathleen Boyle of Utah owns and rides Last Caper, a 9-year-old son of Royal Cat-Mystical Caper, by Town Caper. A.C. Avila bred Lost Caper.

The performance awards recognize Thoroughbreds that accumulate the most points at all horse shows in each of the 13 award categories and 77 divisions throughout the year. Winners receive ribbons, prize money, and such items as coolers, saddle pads and jackets.
