Mark These NorCal Hip Numbers

PLEASANTON, Calif. (Aug. 9, 2011) – The 2011 Northern California Yearling Sale, to be held Tuesday, August, 16 at the Alameda County Fairgrounds, will feature 10 hip numbers with direct black-type relations.

Hip 8, a Snow Chief filly out of the Cee’s Tizzy mare Water Trade, is a half-sister to Drought Breaker, a stakes winner of $211,793. She is consigned by Sam Hendricks, agent for Eagle Oak Ranch.

Hip 15, a Tannersmyman filly out of the Swiss Yodeler mare Alpenwald, is a full sister to the stakes-winning Northern California Yearling Sale graduate Sherman Bartlebort. She is consigned by Woodbridge Farm.

Hip 46, a Swiss Yodeler filly out of the Half a Year mare Freedom’s Spirit, is a half-sister to Fallfree, a stakes-placed winner of $276,060. She is consigned by Colleen Turpin-Boyce, agent for Rancho de los Aviadores.

Hip 69, a McCann’s Mojave colt out of the Olympio mare Maganda, is a half-brother to Kalookan Year, a stakes winner of $239,992. He is consigned by All Star Farm.

Hip 79, an Awesome Gambler colt out of the Black Mackee mare My Miss Isle, is a half-brother Lil’ Bro Eddie, a stakes winner of $87,241. He is consigned by Lovacres Ranch.

Hip 85, a Bertrando filly, is out of the Pirate’s Bounty mare Private Persuasion, a Grade I winner of $502,046. Hip 85 also is a half-sister to Saintly Persuasion, a stakes-placed winner of $79,720. She is consigned by The Cole Ranch.
